Description

The Digit Symbol test is a neuropsychometric test.

For healthcare professional use only.

It is used to estimate cognitive function and information processing.

The subject is asked to memorise a cipher which assigns a symbol to a

numerical counterpart. The subject is then asked to recall the cipher correctly in

the shortest amount of time. The correct answers and the time taken are then

shown.

Instructions

The subject is presented with a cipher on screen.

The subject is required to memorize a set of symbols that correspond to the numbers 0-9

within the cipher.

The cipher is then removed when the test begins, so the subject must rely on their

memory.

The subject is then required to draw the symbol that respresents the number in the box.

The subject may begin the test by pressing the START button when they have

remembered the cipher and end the test by pressing the FINISH button.
